08/12/2004 McDowell designates Croatia and South Africa as safe countries of origin for the purpose of considering asylum applications from nationals of those states
The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr Michael McDowell TD, today announced that he has made an Order designating Croatia and the Republic of South Africa as safe countries of origin with effect from 9 December 2004 for the purpose of considering asylum applications from nationals of those states.
07/12/2004 MINISTER ANNOUNCES GRANT OF Euro105,000 FOR IRISH REFUGEE COUNCIL
The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr Michael Mc Dowell T.D., today announced the provision of a grant of Euro105,000 to the Irish Refugee Council (IRC) to assist the Council in undertaking its core activities during 2005. The grant will be used by the IRC primarily to assist with staff, accommodation and information technology costs.
